Orangeville’s Mayor Lisa Post is hosting the third Town Hall event on Nov. 29 to speak with residents about their questions and concerns.

The Town Hall event is returning to the Tony Rose Arena, where residents will have the opportunity once again to hear from the mayor, staff, and members of council regarding some key issues in the Town of Orangeville.

The first Town Hall was held on May 24 and the second one was held on Sept. 26, where residents connected with Mayor Lisa Post and learned about what Orangeville council has been working on.

“We’re excited to bring more conversation directly to our residents, including the announcement of the winner of our snow plow naming contest,” said Mayor Post. “If you haven’t had a chance to attend a public Town Hall yet, I encourage you to attend. We welcome the opportunity to engage with the community and look forward to continuing to do so.”

The doors to the banquet hall will open at 6:00 p.m. with presentations beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Attending alongside Mayor Post will be Councillors Tess Prendergast and Debbie Sherwood, speaking on Sustainability and Orangeville’s Tree Canopy, as well as Heritage Orangeville, respectively. Several Town Staff will also be present to discuss projects and initiatives in the Town.

Other key topics on the agenda include:

  • Results of the private tree survey
  • Winter parking regulations
  • Announcement of the Snow Plow Naming Contest winner
  • SeeClickFix and how this reporting tool can be used.

Following staff and council presentations, a question-and-answer period will be held for those in attendance. Questions can also be submitted online during the event, which will be livestreamed on Instagram @townoforangeville

Light refreshments will be available. Residents are asked to please bring a refillable water bottle.
