Public invited to apply for Town of Orangeville boards and committees

If you would like to be part of the process that helps guide decisions in matters of the Town of Orangeville, you can apply to be a member of one 11 committees that make recommendations to Town Council on matters relevant to the community.

There are around 65 volunteer committee opportunities available to residents who would like to make a difference in their community.

Each position includes a four-year commitment typically consisting of one meeting per month.

You can find out more at a committee job fair where you can learn more about each of the committees and their responsibilities.

The committees include, Access Orangeville Committee, Committee of Adjustment, Property Standards and Dog designation Appeal Committee, Economic Development and Culture Committee, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Heritage Orangeville Committee, Orangeville Public Library, and the Homelessness Task Force.

Other committees include the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, Official Plan Steering Committee, Police Services Board, Seniors Advisory Committee, and the Sustainable Orangeville Committee.

If any of these committees are of particular interest to you, you can attend the committee job fair session at Town Hall, 87 Broadway, on January 25, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
