Orangeville Minor Hockey will be hosting its annual consignment sale to help local families outfit their kids for the upcoming hockey season.

The sale provides the opportunity for families or individual players to find equipment at a reasonable price.

There will be equipment for children as young as four years old, as well as for adults who are getting back into the game.

You can sell your equipment by consignment, with the seller receiving 70 per cent of the proceeds and 30 per cent going to Orangeville Minor Hockey. Money raised for hockey will go directly back to Orangeville Minor Hockey.

After the sale, unclaimed and donated equipment will be donated to First Nations.

The list of accepted equipment includes Helmets with a CSA sticker, neck guards, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, pants, shin pads, skates (hockey only), and sticks.

For goalies, equipment includes goalie masks with CSA stickers, neck guards, body armour, blockers, catching gloves, goalie pants, goalie pads, goalie skates, and goalie sticks.

Quality undergarments and protective wear may be accepted if clean and in excellent condition.

Sweaters, jerseys, socks, or hockey jackets will not be accepted.

Equipment drop-off, equipment sale, and equipment and cash pick-up will all take place at the Orangeville Curling Club.
