Online personality Joseph DeBenedictis to headline local comedy and magic night

Get ready, Orangeville! The town is about to experience a night of laughter, wonder, and excitement as popular internet personality Joseph DeBenedictis takes centre stage at Revival 1863 for a one-of-a-kind event.

Joseph, who has over 170,000 followers on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram combined, plans to bring a memorable evening of entertainment featuring a dynamic blend of comedy, mind-boggling magic, and much more. 

This event will showcase Joseph’s unique talents and passions that have captivated audiences online and in person, taking place at Revival 1863 (35 Armstrong St.) on Oct. 5. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and doors are at 7:30 p.m. 

What sets this event apart is Joseph’s recent viral video that put Orangeville on the “foodie” map. Joseph spotlighted Orangeville’s very own Deja Vu diner, attracting over half a million views. Consequently, it helped break a single-day sales record for the diner. In the weeks that followed Deja Vu’s viral success, Mayor Lisa Post invited Joseph to many more local spots, drawing even more attention to the town’s culinary gems, including Revival 1863. 

“When I first stepped into Revival, I was shocked,” said DeBenedictis. “It was the coolest space I’ve seen in a long time. I thought to myself, “I gotta do a show here.” Luckily, owners Angela Ward and Mark Latkolik agreed and booked Joseph soon after!

Orangeville kicks off the “Joseph & Friends Comedy-Variety Feast” tour, which includes Magician Durgy Spade, Comedians Jay Rainville and Thomas Patrice, and Joseph’s mix of comedy, video, food tasting and more fun surprises! 

“We’re thrilled to host Joseph here at Revival,” said Revival co-owner Angela Ward. “His feature of Deja Vu diner and subsequently our restaurants, BVR and Revival, helped bring awareness to what Orangeville has to offer, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us during the event.
