The Town of Orangeville has hired a new treasurer.
Patrick Kelly, who brings nearly 20 years of progressive public sector experience in finance to the town, recently accepted the position, replacing Nadini Syed.
“Kelly brings a wealth of knowledge to this critical role,” said the Town of Orangeville in a press release. “Kelly comes to Orangeville from the Township of Wilmot, where he has served since 2005.”
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Administration and Commercial Studies and certification as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA). He’s been an active volunteer firefighter with the Elmira Fire Department for 15 years, and also serves as a Board Member with both the Municipal Finance Officers’ Association and the Canadian Network of Asset Managers.
“We are so pleased Patrick has chosen to serve in Orangeville,” said Mayor Lisa Post. “With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Patrick will be a strong asset to the Town.”
Kelly officially joins the Town of Orangeville on Sept. 5.
