Orangeville has a new puzzle to solve. Local entrepreneur Ameena Abdulaziz has brought the community immersive family fun in the game  Riveting Adventurez.

From a young age Ameena grew an interest in puzzle-solving and mystery, in 2015 her family participated in an escape room challenge and later that year she also participated in Murder at the Royal Ontario Museum, which once again was a puzzle that needed to be solved.

Ms. Abdulaziz says these two challenges were the inspiration she needed to create an epic puzzle challenge right here in her home town Orangeville. By bringing the two together she created Riveting Adventurez.

Ms. Abdulaziz has lived in the Orangeville area for her entire life and grew up exploring the stores of Broadway and Mill St. This is when she began to develop an interest in bringing the community out to solve puzzles but also explore what Orangeville has to offer.

“I made a tour that you have to read the puzzles but you also have to go around and look for the clues,” said Ms. Abdulaziz, in an effort to bring people out and have them explore the area. Each step of the puzzle brings the players to another area of Orangeville whether it be a restaurant or and local store.

Ms. Abdulaziz says that more than 15 local businesses participate in games hosted by Riveting Adventurez.

Riveting Adventurez has created immersive family fun. The puzzles last anywhere from 1 1/2 to four hours long as the group works to complete the tour. For the best experience, it is recommended that players are a minimum age of 12. However, they do accept players of all ages.

Ms. Abdulaziz explained, “Play with friends, your family, your significant other, or even colleagues for work. The adventures are best enjoyed with three or more players per party. Private bookings can accommodate up to 72 players and special arrangements can be made for parties over 10 people.”

Over the last year Ms. Abdulaziz has learned many important things about being a young entrepreneur. She’s learned about to be the best game host she can as she guides the players through the tour and ensures they have the best time.

In previous years Ms. Abdulaziz had run many testing games to allow her to learn what needed to be changed and what worked best for the puzzle. This year Ms. Abdulaziz has mastered a tour for all of you.

Last Saturday, June 15, Ms. Abdulaziz hosted a large group from Toronto. Once they had successfully completed the games they explained how much they enjoyed their time and would like to visit Orangeville again.

Ms. Abdulaziz says they do have a lot of bookings for this summer but there are still open times as the tours run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The game costs $90 for a group of three, with an additional $30 tagged on for each player up to a maximum of six. There are varying levels of difficulty depending on what each group is looking for.
