Mono treasurer, Les Halucha brought his finalized 2021 Budget before Council, having incorporated all of the required changes Council had approved in two preceding meetings.
The changes included repurposing some reserves to pay for Capital Works and the reduction of the amount of guardrails to be installed in 2021. The inflationary property tax rate increase was held to one per cent, with the final figure being withheld until the County Tax Ratios are revealed later in the season. Some of the actual figures involved included remuneration for Council at $147,055, administration materials, supplies and service cost $750,290, fire services cost $1,188,684, and policing cost $1,292,023. Roadways maintenance, totalled $1,785,000 and Roadway construction was $2,435,036. Salaries for staff totalled $642,743 and benefits were $260,310.
Council passed the budget without further discussion.
