The Optimist Club of Orangeville is again presenting the annual Christmas in the Park at Kay Cee Gardens in Orangeville.
The park is open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., until Dec. 31, and features a dazzling light display in the Magical Forest of Lights that covers the structures in the park as well as many displays. You can take a walk with the family and enjoy a wonderful holiday experience.
On Friday and Saturday nights through December, there will be hot chocolate and cider provided by the 3rd Orangeville Scouts Fire Venturers & Rovers. Bundle up, take a walk and see the lights, then stop for a warm beverage to cap off your visit. The 3rd Pathfinder Girl Guides will be there on Thursday, Dec. 22.
This year there are special entertainment nights that feature a variety of different performers who will brave the winter weather to put on a show at the park pergola.
Tonight (Dec. 15), the Travelling Wannabes with Josh Leitch and Norm Trudeau take the stage with a 6:30 p.m. performance.
On Monday, Dec. 19, the popular local band, the Campfire Poets, will be at the pergola with their eclectic sound of contemporary music. The Campfire Poets perform music from five decades covering rock, pop, blues, reggae, country and Celtic. The Poets’ show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Orange Peel Carollers will perform on Thursday, Dec. 22, with a full line-up of holiday music to make for a special memory for the family.
They will start their show at 7:00 p.m.
Christmas in the Park is a free event with free parking and it is pet friendly if you want to bring your furry friends.
Kay Cee Park is located on Bythia Street in Orangeville.
