At Northview Eye Care, the top priority is customer service. They want you to leave their store feeling good about your new look after purchasing a new pair of glasses.
Optician Mandeep Gill strives to meet the needs of his customers with a wide range of frame styles, a knowledge of the business and by greeting all his customers with a smile.
Mr. Gill opened his store a couple of months ago after spending a few years researching locations in Orangeville.
He cites the growing town, friendly people, and the fact that he spent a few years working here and getting to know the area as reasons he decided to relocate and open his store in Orangeville.
“When you get a prescription for your glasses, you bring it to us,” Mr. Gill explained. “We help the patient pick the most suitable frames. From there we make those glasses. We cut them to fit the frame.”
Mr. Gill demonstrated how optical lenses are manufactured to be round. At the store they are able to shape those round lenses to fit the frames you want.
“We also specialize in contact lens,” Mr. Gill explained. “We cater to children over 13 years old. You don’t want children younger than that wearing contact lenses. We teach teenagers the technique of how to put in contacts. We have contact lenses for sports as well. There are swimming goggles and sports goggles – we customize them for you. There’s also contacts that are multi-focal.”
When it comes to styles, Northview Eye Care has a large assortment of frame styles to fit every budget. From daily-wear frames to eye-catching designer styles you can choose frames within your budget or go for a special look with high end name brand fashions.
Mr. Gill also helps guide people when buying the right frames for individuals. Quite often people aren’t sure what type of of frame they want or may be unsure if the style is flattering to them. Mr. Gill has extensive training that helps people select a frame which looks good on them based on their own physical traits.
“There’s extensive training on how to find which frame goes with a look based on the shape of the face. Almost all people ask for an honest opinion. I tell them that a frame looks good on them or why it won’t look good. I’ll give them an honest opinion.”
Mr. Gill said he wants his customers to leave his store feeling good about themselves and their new look.
Northview Eye Care is located at 215 Centennial Road Unit 12, at Riddell Road in Orangeville.
They are open seven days a week and no appointment is necessary.
