Virtual small business workshops available this fall

This fall the Orangeville & Area Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) will host a series of informative webinars and virtual events. A curated list of relevant topics will be presented by local and industry experts to help small business owners gain the knowledge needed to start and grow their ventures.  

Let’s Get Social
Thursday, September 30 from 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Social media has the power to connect you to your customers and offers a unique opportunity to engage with them on a more personal level. Whether you are new to social media or have an established following, representatives from Green Monkey Creative will present strategies on how to build better relationships with your followers. Topics will include ways to balance messaging on your platform, how to engage your audience, and how to show the human side of your brand.

8 Tactics to Increase Your Sales
Wednesday, October 6 from 12 – 2 p.m.
In this interactive and engaging session, Jason Vilon of The Life Coach for Business will help you to create strategies to generate profits within 90 days of implementation. Learn about generating leads, increasing sales, and developing marketing techniques that will result in higher revenues, and more importantly, higher profits. Tactics that will help you move your business to the next level will also be discussed.

Jump the Fence: The Power of Counterintuitive Thinking with Terry O’Reilly

Thursday, October 14 from 12 – 1 p.m.

This engaging virtual presentation is about creative problem solving. Most marketers think within the confines of their category. But that is an artificial boundary. When out-of-the-box thinking is applied to strategies, marketing problems can be solved, obstacles can be blasted out of the way, and revenues can dramatically improve. Small Business Guide to Digital Marketing
Thursday, October 21 from 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Digital marketing is a powerful tool that can help you communicate with your customers and create lasting relationships with them. This interactive webinar from Green Money Creative will discuss how incorporating multiple methods of digital marketing is one of the most effective ways to keep your customers engaged. You’ll learn to apply it to your website, social media accounts, and email campaigns. You’ll also discover how to approach online reviews and other efficient marketing tools.

WSIB 101
Wednesday, October 27 from 12 – 1 p.m.
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) will provide business owners with an overview of their legal responsibilities under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. Attendees will learn about their roles and responsibilities as employers, who is required to register with WSIB and how to register, calculation of rates, how to file a claim, the mandatory coverage rules in the construction industry, and more.
