The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a collision involving two All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) on private property that resulted in serious injuries for one of the riders.
On May 17, 2021, at approximately 5:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of a head-on collision involving two ATVs on private property in the area of County Road 109 and Willoughby Road in Orangeville. The collision involved two 16-year-old drivers who were transported to a local hospital with injuries. One driver was later transported by Ornge Air Ambulance to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
The OPP Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team was brought in to investigate. The investigation is continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Dufferin OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
