The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), in partnership with the Salvation Army, have wrapped up the annual Toys For Tots toy drive with great results.
Officers and Dufferin OPP members volunteered their time over the past three weekends collecting new, unwrapped toys, and gift cards in order to help those in need this holiday season.
All donations collected will be distributed locally through the Salvation Army.
The campaign ran from Nov. 22 until Dec. 8.
Walmart, located at 95 First Street in Orangeville provided the space for Dufferin OPP to conduct the toy drive.
The Dufferin OPP would like to thank Scott Reinhart Trailers who donates a trailer for the toy collection every year.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Dufferin County community. The success of this toy drive would not be possible without your help and incredible generosity. Year after year the Dufferin community steps up with an overwhelming show of support,” said Dufferin OPP in a press release.
“Together we will make this Christmas special for every child in Dufferin County.”
