A one thousand dollar reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of a cat early Friday morning (July15).
As previously reported, on Friday, July 15, 2016 at approximately 1:00 a.m., a witness reports observing four teenagers throw a cat out of a window of a moving vehicle. The feline was described as not being able to move its hind legs but did manage to make its way into a nearby bush. The feline succumbed to its injuries.
The witness was not able to describe the suspects, other than advising that they were teenagers. The vehicle is described as a black, older 4-door, possibly a Honda Civic or Volkswagen.
“The $1000 reward is being made possible by two very generous and caring community business partners of ours. Our hope is that by offering such a reward someone will come forward to provide the information we need to arrest and convict the person or persons responsible for this senseless act”, stated Orangeville Police Chief Wayne Kalinski.
Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from anyone who can assist in providing information regarding the suspects or the vehicle.
Anyone having information with regards to this incident is encouraged to call the Orangeville Police Service at 519-941-2522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.crimestopperssdm.com.
