ABOUT THE ONLY THING missing from the sixth annual Taste of Orangeville event this Saturday is the Greek food that dominates Toronto’s Taste of the Danforth.
As noted elsewhere in this week’s Citizen, the event will take over Mill Street as most of the community’s top local eateries gather in one place to put on an edible spread for all ages.
Taste of Orangeville will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and feature 12 restaurants, including the Mill Creek Pub, Soulyve, Fromage, RJ’s Taste of Asia, Black World Smokehouse and Coriander Kitchen.
Other vendors include The Barley Vine Rail Co., Forage, The Edge, Mochaberry, Stompin’ Grounds and Rustik.
Long-time Orangeville residents will recall the days when the town had only a handful of eateries and few offering the menu choices found at the spots that will gather on Mill Street.
What an opportunity to try out some of the amazing restaurants and eateries we now have in our community!
