The Orangeville Tigers hosted their annual Winter Classic Tournament in Orangeville from Feb. 3 to 5.

The event was the second girl’s tournament the club has hosted this season.

In January, the Tigers hosted their wildly popular Sweetheart Tournament at venues in town and neighbouring towns to accommodate all the games.

The Winter Classic is a house league tournament featuring teams in the U11, U13, U15, U18, and senior divisions.

A total of 58 house league teams from around the province turned out to compete over the three days of hockey.

Tigers teams did well in competition, with four teams winning medals.

The Senior Orangeville Sandstorm won bronze in their division.

U11 Orangeville McOrange, U15 Orangeville Quesada Grey, and the Senior Orangeville Tiger Bombs all won silver medals.

The gold medal-winning teams were U11 CYGHA The Green Dragons, U13 South Bruce Blades, U15 Toronto Leaside Wildcats, U18 Grand River Mustangs, and the Senior Georgetown Goal Diggers.
