Orangeville resident wins $1 million on LOTTO MAX

There’s a new millionaire in Orangeville.

Local resident Miroslawa Baranski won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the May 20, 2022 LOTTO MAX draw.

Miroslawa, who’s a healthcare worker, says she is an occasional lottery player and enjoys playing LOTTO MAX when the jackpot is large.

“This is my first big win!” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Miroslawa checked her ticket while out running errands when she discovered her big win.

“I saw the Big Winner screen and I felt my blood pressure rise,” she said. “The cashier was so happy for me – she told me not to be nervous. I told my husband later that day and he was so happy too. He immediately started dreaming about how we would enjoy the money.”

She plans to travel with her winnings. “I want to explore Canada’s East Coast – now is the time to see it. I’d love to explore Ontario too. Maybe I will buy an RV for my husband and I to take on these adventures,” she concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sobeys on Riddell Road in Orangeville.
