Orangeville Fire is holding two 2023 Volunteer Recruitment Information Sessions next week.
The first session will take place on Sept. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m., and the second session is happening on Sept. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The sessions will occur at the Orangeville Fire Station at 10 Dawson Rd.
The minimum qualifications to become a volunteer firefighter include being 18 or older, obtaining First Aid and CPR Level C upon hiring and possessing a secondary school graduation diploma. Other qualifications include having a valid “G” Ontario Drivers License, being able to obtain a DZ license within one year and living in Dufferin County within a 3-kilometre radius of the Orangeville Fire Service.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter in Orangeville must attend one of the two information sessions to receive an application package and apply.
