Large grow op busted in Grand Valley, over 1,200 plants seized, 725 lbs of cannabis

Officers from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a large quantity of cannabis and charged six individuals with drug related charges as a result of a search warrant executed in Grand Valley, Ontario. 

On August 17, 2021, members of the Dufferin Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the Caledon (CSCU), Central Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement team (PJFCET) executed a search warrant at a rural property in Gr! and Valley. 

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

  • 1248 cannabis plants
  • 725 pounds of packaged cannabis

In addition to the seizure, six people were charged with:

  • Cultivate cannabis at place that is not their dwelling house
  • Possess cannabis for the purpose of distribution

The investigation is ongoing and therefore the names of the people involved will not be released.
