You can experience the bright side of winter as Credit Valley Conservation hosts Ignite the Night at Island Lake and Terra Cotta Conservation Areas.
Visitors can explore the parks after dark on trails illuminated with fire and lights.
Hike the trails or bring your snowshoes to enjoy the trails. One-hour ice skating rink reservations will also be available at both locations as conditions permit.
On select nights, CVC will host Ignite the Night Plus – offing equipment rentals at both locations and lake access for moonlit skating and ice fishing at Island Lake. Rentals and lake access are based on safe winter and ice conditions.
On these nights, the parks will stay open until 9:00 p.m.
Ignite the Night will take place on Friday and Saturday nights until Mar. 4. This event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Regular park admission applies. Credit Valley Parks passholders receive free admission to each park.
Special dates for Ignite the Night Plus are Feb. 4, and Mar. 4 at Island Lake, and Feb. 4 and Feb. 18 at Terra Cotta.
Registration for events is not required. For the latest updates on park conditions, visit cvcevents.ca.
