A new interior design company recently opened in Orangeville.
Inside Styles held a grand opening for the public at 685 Riddell Rd., Unit 104, on Aug. 13 to celebrate the new business,
Amanda Steddy, owner of Inside Styles, said she’s always dreamed of creating a one-stop-shop for interior design.
“From floor plans and design renderings to furniture and fixtures, I wanted to create a space that carried top quality and unique pieces in Orangeville. A fresh sort of ‘Chic-boho/modern farmhouse’ spot,” explained Steddy.
“My husband and I moved to Orangeville in 2017, right before we had our daughter and have fallen in love with the town. We love the growing community and have made many new friends here.”
Steddy said that while Inside Styles specializes in high-end interior design, the business does its best to work with everyone’s finances.
“There are many different options we can look at to stay within someone’s budget,” she noted.
Steddy said she loves the design process from start to finish and was drawn to it after she began staging homes in 2017 for her husband, who’s a realtor.
The couple also started flipping houses at that time and would carry out anything from small paint touch-ups and new flooring to full remodels.
“We then started full builds from the ground up and my love for design kept growing,” said Steddy.
From there, she was asked to design spaces for family and friends, which led to her being referred to others and has since evolved into Inside Styles.
“In early 2021 I launched a staging and interior design firm called Steddy Styles. Both sides of the business were a big success, especially the design side,” said Steddy.
“I quickly learnt how frustrating it was dealing with so many different suppliers and being the middle man between my client and a store. This is when the idea to open up my own store front selling/servicing design, furniture, custom drapery, hardware, lighting and accessories came. Customer Service has always been a top priority of mine, so having better control and faster response time for ETAs was a no brainer.”
Inside Styles is a 100 per cent female-run business.
Steddy told the Citizen she’d encourage anyone interested in redesigning a space to book an appointment and visit their showroom. The showroom is also open for walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Wednesday, which is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
