October 6, 2022   ·   0 Comments

On Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. a walk for the Indigenous Day of Action is taking place locally.

Attendees are asked to meet at the entrance to the Alder Street Recreation Centre, under the Dufferin County Cultural Resource Circle (DCCRC) flag, before walking to the Medicine Wheel Garden – a place of healing.

The DCCRC notes on their website that across Canada, the day is marked by ceremonies and celebrations that highlight cultural programs and activities, displays of arts and crafts, and events that recognize the contributions of Indigenous people.
