The Orangeville Public Library again partnering with Celebrate Your Awesome to offer a unique, immersive experience as part of their annual June event.

On Saturday, June 17 from 1 to 3 p.m., come and meet humans from the “Rainbow Community” as they become ‘open books’ about their stories, journeys, and lived experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with each of the storytellers.

“Stories are part of what connect us to other human beings, help us overcome barriers, and help guide us towards being a more inclusive, welcoming community,” said Darla Fraser, CEO of the Orangeville Public Library. “The human library is just one of many reasons for the community to come together to connect with others and discover new friends and allies so we all soar to great heights.”

Participants who visit with Human Library storytellers will receive a Rainbow Passport, to be stamped after each conversation for the opportunity to win a prize.

Orangeville’s Celebrate Your Awesome event celebrates individual differences, whether it be sexual-orientation, race, cultural beliefs, or anything else.
