Headwaters Tourism announces new chair

The Board of Directors of Headwaters Tourism has announced the appointment of Bill Gillam as its Chair and Ross Millar as Vice-Chair, effective September 1.

Mr. Gillam succeeds Maria Britto who has completed her term as Chair of the Board.  Bill is the owner of Shelburne Home Hardware Building Centre and a representative of the Town of Shelburne Economic Development Committee.

Ross Millar succeeds Elaine Capes who has completed her term as Vice-Chair of the Board.  Ross is the President of Ross Millar Entertainment Group, an Orangeville-based  multi-dimensional company producing and marketing live equine events. who has been a member of the Headwaters Tourism Board since 2011.

With offices on Hockley Road, Headwaters Tourism said it has consistently taken bold steps to define and redefine itself.  “Over the next month, the Board will be finalizing its strategy and action plan for the 2020 season,” it said in a release. 

“The Tourism office is evolving with our amazing group of summer students heading back to school and the restructuring of our executive team.”

Headwaters Tourism is a not-for-profit, multi award-winning destination marketing organization representing the rural Headwaters region of Ontario and providing tourism services on behalf of the regional tourism industry and on behalf of the municipal partners in Dufferin County and the Towns of Caledon, Mono, Shelburne & Erin.
