Girls’ empowerment event coming to New Hope Church

New Hope Community Church is holding an exciting event aimed at empowering girls age 12 to 18 next Saturday (May 14).

The event runs 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, located at 960 Riddell Road, and will feature lots of fun activities. They include a pop-up thrift shop, face artistry, self-defence and kickboxing, adopt a succulent, creative cookie art, a Starbucks barista, swag bags, a selfie booth, delicious treats, and a tasty lunch.

Guest speaker Tori Petersen, who was recently crowned Mrs. Universe 2021-22, will be coming out to share her story of coming out of foster care and into a place of strength and influence.

There are limited spots available and those who wish to attend need to register.
