The Dufferin-Caledon People’s Party of Canada Association has set April 23 as the deadline for those seeking to represent the party in next October’s federal election.
On March 22, Elections Canada formally recognized the Dufferin-Caledon-PPC Association as an official electoral district association, which will now act as the official representative of the People’s Party of Canada locally and will be selecting a candidate to represent the Party and the riding in the 2019 general election this fall.
“Constituents who are interested in learning more about the People’s Party are invited to review our website at www.ppcdufferincaledon.ca,” the association said in a news release Wednesday.
“Anyone who is interested in representing the People’s Party and defending its values and policies as our candidate in the upcoming election should contact CEO Kevin Gomez at 647-888-1434 and complete the Candidate Questionnaire at the party website at www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca. The deadline for Candidate applications is April 23.”
“We are very proud to be representing Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada in the riding of Dufferin-Caledon,” said Mr. Gomez. “Maxime’s voice and message represent the opinions and perspectives of thousands of Canadians across the country who feel like the traditional political parties have ignored them in favour of political posturing and pandering. We are dedicated to organizing locally to make sure our new Party can be successful in the fall elections.”
