The Dufferin Board of Trade has announced it will host an election forum for candidates running in the upcoming federal election.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Orangeville District Secondary School from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The first half hour of the event will serve as a meet and greet with the, as of press time, six candidates running for election in Dufferin Caledon. Then, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., a moderated, televised live forum will take place.
Questions will not be taken from the floor, but will be accepted ahead of time. Submit your questions for the candidates by Sept. 26 online at www.dufferin.ca/election, or by phone by calling 519-941-0492. Candidates will not be informed of questions ahead of the event.
The forum will feature Conservative candidate Kyle Seeback, Liberal candidate Michele Fisher, Green Party candidate Stefan Wiesen and People’s Party candidate Chad Ransom. NDP candidate Allison Brown and Christian Heritage representative Russ Emo have yet to confirm their attendance
