The Cruisin’ on First Classic and Custom Car Show is back on for the summer in the parking lot at the Orangeville Canadian Tire.

The show features trucks and automobiles from across Ontario as some drivers arrive from a considerable distance to show their cars.

This year the fun started with the opening show on May 17. On opening night, everyone with a classic, vintage, or custom show was welcome to come out and be part of the fun.

As the season goes on, there are theme nights where everyone is welcome, but specialty cars and cars from certain eras or styles are asked to make a special appearance.

On May 31, it was the Street Rod Showdown. Plenty of customized street rods were on display, and visitors loved the rumble of the engines as they pulled into a parking space.

Other special nights include Classic GM Night, Canadian-Made Classics, Muscle Car Mania, Cruisin’ Corvettes, the Sensational 70’s, the Mustang

Rodeo.

On any Wednesday, there are between 150 to 200 cars, sometimes more, on display.

This is a great time for car owners who have the chance to meet other auto enthusiasts, as well as for visitors who can view rare cars and have a chance to meet the owners.

If you like classic, vintage and custom automobiles, this is a great place to spend a summer evening.

The Cruisin’ on First car show takes place every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to dusk.
