Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), the Friends of Island Lake, and representatives from the Orangeville Public Library will unveil Tales on the Trails. This interactive trail experience promotes literacy and recreation in nature at the Island Lake Conservation Area.

Tales on the Trails features a storybook walking trail where visitors can engage with the page of books in an outdoor setting.

Located by the Natural Playground at Island Lake, Tales on the Trails provides an opportunity for everyone to read literature while spending time enjoying nature.

The Conservation Area will host a special ceremony for the unveiling.

Members of the Friends of Island Lake, representatives from the Orangeville Public Library, the Women’s Institute, and CVC staff will be taking part in the ceremonial event.

The event will take place at the Island Lake Conservation Area on Friday, June 16.

The trail will be open all day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Natural Playground at the Island Lake Conservation Area.

Credit Valley Conservation is a local conservation authority established by the Ontario government in 1954 to protect, restore, and enhance the natural environment of the Credit River watershed.
