Brinks truck catches fire in Mono

Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene of an armored truck fire in the Town of Mono on Monday (Oct. 25) 

At approximately 8:08 a.m., Dufferin OPP along with Shelburne Fire attended the scene of an armored truck that had caught fire on Highway 10 in the Town of Mono. There were no injuries and the two guards were able to safely pullover to the shoulder and exit the vehicle. Officers closed down Highway 10 for a short time, while Shelburne Fire extinguished the fire.

The fire was deemed non-suspicious and appears to have been an electrical issue.
