A Dream is a Wish bringing fairytales to life in Dufferin County

It seems a lot of young girls dream to grow up to be a princess.

While that probably won’t happen, Cady Flynn brings the next best thing through A Dream is a Wish Princess Parties by Cady. 

Along with partner Sally Monopoli, they bring a princess theme to birthday and other parties that can benefit from a fun theme.

Cady has always been a performer so it was a natural transition to bring her flair for theatre to a live performance.

“My whole life I’ve always wanted to do something in acting and singing and something fun like that,” Cady explained. “I was a waitress for eight years and I got to the point that ‘this isn’t me.’ I want to do something for my myself that is going to be fun and feel like I’m going to be doing something for someone – for kids – and entertaining, and that’s where it started. Back in high school I wrote plays and was on all the improve teams. I did a lot of stuff like that. I was very involved.”

While she wanted to perform, Cady also took a level-headed approach to doing what she loves.

“Performing was always where I had my forté. That was my strong suit always. I’ve always wanted to do something in acting and going into a field like that, but you don’t want to just go to Hollywood. I figured maybe starting on my own and having my family and friends help me get started – and they all did – which was wonderful, and it’s been taking off really since then.” 

Cady attends the parties dressed like a princess, usually from famous a movie.

She plays games with the children, does crafts, sings, and the kids even get photos of the experience. 

“Our main thing is birthday parties, but we’re available for any special events or appearances,” Cady said. 

She will also appear in the upcoming Christmas market and will be in the Orangeville Christmas parade.

With the popularity of princess in movies over the past few years she does several characters including 

Anna an Elsa from Frozen, Belle from Sleeping Beauty, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and Cinderella.
