In partnership with TD Bank Group, on October 27 the Town of Orangeville will host its annual Economic Outlook Summit featuring a keynote address by James Marple, Director and Senior Economist at TD. Mr. Marple works with a team of economists to monitor and assess the global economy with a focus on North America. The keynote address will include an analysis of the Canadian economy and financial markets and offer insights on economic and financial developments pertinent to the local economy. Of particular interest this year will be the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event will also feature a panel presentation by three local entrepreneurs who will share their experiences during the pandemic crisis. John Voight of Technicor, Shelley Wishart, owner of Go Yoga, and Milena Parreira and Derek Train of Temple Nutrition will speak about the impacts that the pandemic has had on their businesses and the steps they’ve taken to survive and thrive.
This year’s event will take place online and registration is free of charge. As a special treat, participants in this year’s summit will receive “breakfast” in the form of a $5 coupon to redeem at any one of four participating cafés: Mochaberry, Son of a Chef, Top Hat Tea Room, and the French Press.
