The Orangeville area apparently has a new multi-millionaire.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced last week that the jackpot winning ticket for the March 21 draw was sold in Orangeville, and that it was worth $20,481,125.50.

The announcement did not identify the store or kiosk from which the ticket was purchased, and it is usually some time before the winner is identified.

The government agency says there have been 159 lottery prizes of $10,000 or more, totaling more than $31 million, awarded to players in Orangeville since lottery started. Thus far, the biggest lottery prize claimed by an Orangeville resident was a LOTTO 6/49 jackpot worth $11.4 million in 2000.
