Theatre Orangeville wins Trillium grant for lighting upgrade

May 12, 2016   ·   0 Comments

This Saturday, May 14, at 8:00 p.m.,  Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones will be at the Orangeville Opera House as Theatre Orangeville prepares to launch a new lighting endeavor, thanks to a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

These much-needed upgrades will help Theatre Orangeville, on behalf of the Town, to produce the most technically advanced productions to ever be seen at the Opera House.

This grant will also benefit every user group who rents the Opera House, ensuring that we offer our community an enhanced performance experience and the Town an even more valuable community asset.

MPP Jones and an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer will attend the event and will formally present Theatre Orangeville with a plaque on stage before the regularly scheduled performance of Stag and Doe.

David Nairn, Artistic Director of Theatre Orangeville, will describe this new lighting upgrade and its expected impact in the community.
