There will be something for every palate in town this weekend as the community prepares itself for the sixth annual Taste of Orangeville.

Coming to you on Saturday (Aug. 18), the event will take over Mill Street as most of the community’s top local eateries gather in one place to put on an edible spread for the ages.

Taste of Orangeville will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature 12 restaurants, including the Mill Creek Pub, Soulyve, Fromage, RJ’s Taste of Asia, Black World Smokehouse and Coriander Kitchen. Other vendors include The Barley Vine Rail Co., Forage, The Edge, Mochaberry, Stompin’ Grounds and Rustik.

“Taste of Orangeville is the absolute best place to try out some of the amazing restaurants and eateries we have in our community,” said event organizer, Orangeville Business Improvement Area General Manager Alison Scheel. “This is our sixth year now hosting the event. We’re excited for another great weekend on Mill Street.”

You can make a weekend of it this year, with the annual Great Taste Fashion Gala taking place on Friday (Aug. 17) and Soulyve’s annual Caribfest set to run alongside Taste of Orangeville on Saturday.

Nine downtown boutiques will show off the latest in fall fashions during the Great Taste Fashion Gala. Tickets for the event include “delicious” food tasters, says Ms. Scheel, and cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The first 100 people to arrive will receive a free Great Taste Swag Bag.
