Season shaping up in Ontario Minor Football

The Orangeville Outlaws Junior Varsity team won their fourth game of the season when they travelled to North Bay on Saturday, June 13, to take on the Bulldogs.

They left with a 60-41 win.

At five games into the 2015 season, the Outlaws JV team is now a 4-1 – their only loss coming in game one when they were squeezed out 22-20 by the Etobicoke Eagles.

The win puts them on part with the Niagara Spears who are undefeated after four games and the North Bay team who also have a 4-1 record.

The Outlaws have score 261 points this season while allowing 105 against them.

The Junior Varsity team will be in Beeton this weekend (Sun., June 21) to take on the TNT Express.

Peewee division

The Orangeville Outlaws peewee division is struggling this season and still looking for their first win.

They have come up short in all four games losing to Hamilton, Etobicoke, and Cambridge.

At 0-4 the Peewees are currently in last place.

The Brampton Bulldogs are leading the Peewee division going undefeated after four games.

On the road this week the Outlaws peewees will traveto Mississauge to take on the Warriors with a 10:00 a.m. start.

Bantam division

The Outlaws Bantam division team is still looking for their win this season.

The team has lost all four games including a narrow 17-16 loss to Cambridge on May 31.

The Toronto Jets are currently leading the Bantam division going undefeated after four games. They are followed by the TNT Express in second place with a 3-1 record.

Next up, the O-ville peewees will get a week off before returning to their home field at Westside Secondary School when they will host the Toronto Jets on Sunday, June 28.

The kick-off is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

Varsity Division

The Outlaws Varsity division team have won their last two games including a 39-8 win over Hamilton on June 7, and a 14-6 win over the Niagara Spears on June 14.

They currently have a 3-2 record for a second place position in the League right behind the Cambridge Lions.

The Varsity squad has scored 102 points while allowing only 43 points against this season.

Returning to their home field at Westside Secondary School this Sunday, the Varsity team will host teh Vaughan Rebels.

Game time is 1:00 p.m.
