Summer Company operating in 2021

The popular Summer Company Program, delivered by the Orangeville & Area Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) in partnership with the Province of Ontario, will be operating once again this year. Summer Company provides local youth with funding and guidance as they start up and run their own businesses during the summer months. Three enterprising students will be operating businesses in the Dufferin County area.

Nourish Lawn Care – Jack Bradley

University of British Columbia commerce student Jack Bradley provides reliable and affordable lawn care to residents in Dufferin County, Caledon and surrounding communities. Nourish Lawn Care services include mowing and trimming, edging, hedge trimming, and seeding on a weekly or as-needed basis. Jack’s extensive lawn care experience ensures high quality results and excellent customer service. In addition to great lawn maintenance, Nourish Lawn Care offers added value for the customer. For every job hired, Jack will donate $5 to the Orangeville Food Bank. This worthwhile partnership reflects Jack’s focus on giving back to his community.  Seniors’ discounts are also available. The Mailbox Studio – Thomas Dietrich

Thomas Dietrich is the owner of The Mailbox Studio. He creates and installs attractive mailbox stands, sign posts, gates, and custom-designed wooden features to grace properties in town or on rural routes. The Humberview Secondary School student services customers across southern Ontario from his home-based workshop in Caledon. He also offers installation within a 30-minute drive of his production location. Home owners in Dufferin, Caledon and area who are looking to upgrade a current mailbox or want to enhance a lawn or garden with a beautiful adornment can select from a variety of styles on the Mailbox Studio website at www.mailboxstudio.ca. Mastering the Basics Math Tutoring – Ava Kleiser

Ava Kleiser is a local ODSS student who excels in math and wants to share her love of the subject. Mastering the Basics Math Tutoring will cover the provincial math curriculum up to the grade 8 level and promises to make math fun! Ava will provide tutoring services that are engaging and geared to the individual learner’s objectives. With flexible scheduling, in-person or remote lessons, and competitive prices, Mastering the Basics is an excellent option for families looking to help children gain confidence and catch up on instruction that may have been impacted by recent school interruptions. Ava’s proficiency in the subject can also benefit students who want to improve existing abilities and prepare for the fall term.
