The Rotary Club of Orangeville has partnered with Canadian Blood Services to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need. As part of their dedication to their community, The club has generously adopted the Orangeville blood donor event on Feb. 25 and committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 120 donations on that day.
“We are pleased and proud to have the opportunity to help give life in this way,” says David Proctor the club’s president.
“We are very excited about making a real difference in the lives of Canadian hospital patients. This year, 100,000 new blood donors are needed across Canada to meet patient needs — including well over 100 needed right here in our community. We invite Orangeville and area residents to join us and make an appointment to donate blood.”
You can take part by making an appointment to give the gift of life at the Orangeville event being held at the Best Western Plus Inn & Suites – 7 Buena Vista Drive, Orangeville on Monday, February 25th from 2 to 7 p.m. To discover all the ways you can help and to book your appointment, visit blood.ca.
By adopting a donation event, organizations can make a difference in the lives of hospital patients. Choose a centre date and recruit donors from within your organization, your networks, customers and community and help give life to those in need. Canadian Blood Services will work with interested organizations to plan and support their involvement.
