Police seek assistance from public to identify theft suspect

8232AThe Orangeville Police Service is asking for help from the public to identify a suspect regarding thefts from a local store.

On June 4, 2014 at approximately 1 p.m. an unidentified male entered the Shoppers Drug Mart at 25 Broadway, in Orangeville. He proceeded to the digital camera display case but was unable to open the cabinet. The male left the store and returned at approximately 3:40 p.m. He again attended the digital camera display case and when there were no staff members in the area, he produced an unknown tool and used it to gain entry into the locked cabinet. Several cameras were removed and the male left the store after making no attempt to pay for the items.

The theft was discovered on July 2, 2014 during a monthly inventory check and police were contacted.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 50 years-old with a clean shaven face, and neatly trimmed grey hair. He was wearing a checkered coloured button-up long sleeve shirt and dark pants with white running shoes.
