Losses for Bantam and Varsity squads
Summer league football is underway.
The Ontario Minor Football League kicked off the season with games around the province in all divisions.
While most of the Orangeville Outlaws get started this coming weekend, the Bantam and Varsity squads began their season this past weekend.
The Bantams travelled to Downsview Park in Toronto to take on the Toronto Jets Green team on Saturday, May 17 with a 5:00 pm kick off.
The Outlaws had their first loss of the season going scoreless and giving up 61 points to the Toronto team.
The Varsity squad was also on the road for the first game of the season when they made the trek to Cambridge to face the Lions.
The game got underway at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, at Jacob Hespeler High School.
The Varsity squad took a hit losing by three points to end with a 19-16 finish.
