ODSS Bears football host home opener

The Orangeville District Secondary School Bears football team will host their home opener on Friday, October 2, on the main field at the school.

This is the third game of the season for the Bears squad who are 0-2 after playing two road games to start the season.

The squad is showing some good results on the field despite the losses.

On September 18, they had their first game against Centennial Collegiate which ended in 48-10 loss for the Bears.

Game two of the season showed some good results when they scored 17 points against J.F. Ross in Guelph.

The final for that game was 24-17 for the Guelph team.

The Bears will have the chance to win their first of the season during the home opener when they host Guelph Collegiate on Friday.

Centennial Collegiate is currently in first place in District 10 / 4 football with two wins after two games.

The season is set up with a six game regular season schedule before going into district playoffs.

The kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
