Semi-final playoff series underway

 

They are down one game, but in Jr. B Lacrosse that means they just have fight back and win the next one.

The Orangeville Junior B Northmen are currently in their semi-final playoff series against the Six Nations Rebels.

Six Nations took game one of the series on July 25, leaving the arena with a 7-3 win over the Northmen at the Iroquois Lacrosse arena.

Game two of the series took place on Wednesday, July 30, at Tony Rose arena in Orangeville with results coming in after press time.

The Northmen won their quarter-final series against the Windsor Clippers in a match that went five games.

In that series the Northmen also lost the first game then came back with a win in game two.

After losing game three at home, the Northmen travelled to Windsor for game four and left with a win to lead tie the series at two games each.

Returning to O-ville for the deciding game, the Northmen pulled it together for an astounding 11-6 win to take the series.

The Northmen certainly have their hands full for this series.

The Six Nations is undefeated this season going 20 games straight in the regular season without a loss then steamrolling through the playoffs winning every game so far. That’s seven playoff games in a row they have come out top.

Game three of the series will get underway at Six Nations on Friday, August 1.

If necessary, the series will return to Orangeville on Sunday, August 3, at Tony Rose arena.

That game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
