The first round of the Ontario Junior A Hockey League playoffs is ready to get underway with 16 teams from the four OJHL divisions earning a playoff berth.
The Orangville Junior A Flyers will meet the Oakville Blades of the South Division in the South / West conference quarter-final.
The Flyers made the cut as the number six seed in the line-up of the eight teams that made the playoffs.
In the West Divsion, Hamilton, Milton, and Burlington failed to qualify for a playoff berth.
The Division first place Georgetown Raiders and the Buffalo Jr. Sabres were the other South teams that got a playoff spot.
The Flyers ended the regular season with a second place in the Division with a 25-29 record and 54 points.
They opponents in the first round, the Blades, finished the season in second place in the South division with a 31-23 record and 66 points.
In the East and North Divisions, only Pickering and Lindsay of the North failed to make the playoffs.
All five teams in the East Division made it.
The Flyers will play their first game of the series on the road in Oakville on Friday, February, 27.
The series will come to the Alder Street arena in Orangeville for game two of the series on Saturday, February 28.
Game time is 7:00 p.m.
