Loss at home – win on the road
Friday’s game saw the Toronto Jr. Canadiens come to town.
The flyers opened the scoring less than a minute into the game on a goal from Lucas Smilsky.
The Canadiens evened it up three minutes later then went ahead with a late goal scored with just over a minute remaining on the clock.
Toronto was ahead by two with the only second period goal.
James McLaughlin scored the Flyers early in the third period to get the team back in the game but a fourth Toronto goal ended the game 4-2.
Heading to North York the following night, the Flyers left the ice with a 4-3 win that took an overtime period to win.
After playing to a 1-2 tie in the first period, the team’s again found the game even when both squad scored two in the second frame.
Orangeville’s first period goal came from Colin Rigney.
Second period Flyers’ goals came from Ethan Wiseman and Zack Vukosa.
With no scoring in the third period the teams came out for overtime to battle it out and see who could hit the back of the net first.
The game ended with the Orangeville win when Ryan Hunt scored at the 2:46 mark.
It was win number 16 for the Flyers who now have 35 points for the season.
The Flyers will have two more games this weekend.
On Friday, December 4, they will be on the road against St. Michaels.
They will return to home ice at the Alder Street arena the following night, Saturday, December 5, to host the North York Rangers.
Game time is 7:00 p.m.
