If you’re one of those golfers who are first to get the clubs out in the spring and the last to put them away in the fall, Orangeville’s newest sporting facility has a solution for those days when the weather isn’t cooperating.

It is also a place where you can play year-round to hone your skills and have some fun while enjoying top golf courses around the world.

The Virtual Green is an automated indoor golf simulator with over 100 courses at the touch of a screen. It allows you to tee off and play a full round of golf.

The simulator provides information after each shot, like your ball speed and the arc of the trajectory when you hit the ball.

“We have an 18 foot golf simulator screen and it’s the latest technology in golf,” explained Elie Yaacoub, owner of The Virtual Green. “You can play games and get analytics, You can play with one to four people or even more. It records you and tells you just about everything on your swing. It takes a video of your club face so you can correct it.”

When you arrive, you can decide which course you want to play.

“We have over 100 course,” Elie explained. “We have everything from Pebble Beach to Banff Springs and other courses. It’s all on our touchscreen computer and you can choose the course you like.”

Booking the course is all done online.

“It’s all booked online,” Elie said. “You can book any time from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It’s fully automated. The door is fully automated and you get a link to enter. You can book as long as you want with a minimum of two hours.”

This allows you to book your time, arrive and play with no hassles, and the screen is reserved for you.

The Virtual Green is located at 48 Centennial Rd., Unit 10, in Orangeville.
