Jr B Northmen wrap regular season
The Orangeville Jurnior B Northmen are going to the OJBLL playoffs after securing a first place finish in the League’s Mid West division.
The Northmen finished with 34 points – two points ahead of the Elora Mohaws – the only two teams in the division to secure a playoff berth.
Ending with a 17-3 record, the Northemen are tied for third place over all along with Green Gaels, and the Windsor Clippers in the 26 team league.
The Six Nations Rebels finished in the top spot going undefeated for the season and ending with 40 points.
Sixteen teams made the playoffs from the six OJBLL divisions.
The O-ville squad finished the season with a ten game winning streak.
Their last loss was back on May 25, when they gave up a one point game to the Niagara Thunderhawks getting squeezed out by a single point in a 16-15 match.
The Northmen will now face the St. Catharines Spartans in the first round of a best of five series.
Game one of the series will get underway on Friday, June 27, at the Alder Street arena in Orangeville.
Game time is 8:00 p.m.
