A total of 62 employees in Orangeville made the Sunshine List in 2017, up eight from 2016.
Since 1996, the Sunshine List, recently published on March 23rd, is an annual summary of employees in the public sector in the province that make $100,000 or more in salary and benefits per year.
In Orangeville, the list includes 32 police officers, 13 members of the town’s fire department, and 17 staffers at town hall.
The highest-paid Orangeville employee is town CAO Ed Brennan, who made $177,343.58 last year.
Public works director Doug Jones earned $136,086.51, while Treasurer Marc Villeneuve, Chief Librarian Darla Fraser, Parks & Rec Director Ray Osmond and Town Clerk Susan Greatrix each made $133,736.43.
The highest paid Orangeville Police Service (OPS) employee is Sgt. Christopher Dryden, who made $162,920.05, followed by OPS Chief Wayne Kalinski at $157,973.83, and Sgt. Douglas Fry, who earned $146,216.79.
The top three employees at the Orangeville Fire Department are: Firefighters Del Godin ($137,835.40), Chief Ronald Morden ($131,094.28), and Captain Michael Richardson ($123,475.94).
