Council was wrong in tender decision

The Town Council is wrong with this decision. The Town is discouraging competitive bidding in this lack of judgment regarding the tender process.

The lowest bid from a qualified supplier who met all terms in the tender document should be awarded the contract.

Why would I invest time, effort, and money in a municipal tender when it seems apparent that a bias is shown towards a local bidder?

Was this “point system” for award spelled out in the tender document?

The Town Council is wasting our tax dollars again. The $50,000 should have been saved.
