Catering to the wealthy?

April 2, 2014   ·   0 Comments

I have been wanting to send a letter for a long, long time about so many subjects, too varied to mention!

I would like to address the important subject of good quality, safe, comfortable, healthy housing here in Orangeville!

Why isn’t anyone doing something about the seniors problem? Innocent people are suffering desperately every single day! That is wrong!

Aren’t your priorities straight?

When I was walking down First Street I noticed a big sign announcing a big project for luxury housing starting now in March, 2014. Luxury housing when people are homeless and starving! Shame on you! You don’t seem to care that innocent citizens are really suffering!

Why are you catering to the wealthy?

Shame on you; that really made me angry and upset me!

There is something definitely wrong with our human race! People don’t care anymore! Something has to change for the better and soon!

I have had some very bad experiences since someone I dearly loved passed away suddenly and I have experienced man and woman’s inhumanity to man and woman at the height!

It has disgusted and shocked me how innocent and good people are being treated like animals; they have had their human dignity taken away from them!

If one innocent person is hurting we all suffer for it. We are all in this together as a human race on the planet.

We need to join together as a human race coast to coast to change the serious crisis for good, affordable, safe, healthy, quality housing.

Like the words from Bob Dylan’s folk song Blowin’ in the Wind said: “How many times will a man turn his head pretending he just doesn’t see? The answer, my friend, is Blowin’ in the Wind!” I have sung that song many, many times, accompanying myself on my guitar to live audiences over my lifetime and it is still timely and relevant today!

What are you doing to change this housing crisis today?

In Protest! God help us!
