The Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival is receiving a boost in funding from the Town.

Out of the 2021 Community Grants Program, Council approved $15,000 in funding to cover costs associated with performer fees and a social media marketing campaign during its May 10 meeting.

The Town budgeted $80,000 for its 2021 Community Grants Program and to date, $61,500 has been distributed. The remaining $18,500 is still up for grabs for any local not-for-profit organization that meets the program’s eligibility requirements.

These requirements include:

  • Demonstratable or potential social and economic benefit
  • In keeping with stated goals and objectives set by Council
  • Members or registrants comprised of Orangeville residents
  • Services available to citizens in the community on an equal basis
  • Track record of providing value to the community for funding received
  • Demonstrates a reasonable effort to raise funds from other sources
  • Funds being received from other levels of government
  • Charitable or Not-for-profit organization

More details about the Town of Orangeville’s summer concert series and the Blues and Jazz Festival will be released as the two events draw closer.
