Agrees with Tilson

Sir:

MP David Tilson is correct to seek more defence against terrorism.  At present, it’s Canada’s most likely threat.

The suicide terrorist can’t be stopped if he/she operates independently (ie, without communications that may be intercepted or allies who may talk).  Deterrents don’t work because she/he intends to die in the attempt.

But there are ways to minimize the likelihood of such attacks.  Waging war on a foreign power, though tempting, won’t solve this.  Trust our police.
